Call for Papers Thank you very much for your abstract submissions. The online submission system has been closed. The Scientific Program Committee of 15th WCB/15th WCBE invites all interested individuals to submit abstracts to be considered for Oral/Poster/Video Presentation. Some distinguished abstracts will be selected to present at Symposia. Deadline for Abstract Submission (for Oral/Video): November 11, 2007 The deadline has been extended. Deadline for Abstract Submission (for Poster): December 14, 2007 Instructions for Abstract Submission - All abstracts must be submitted electronically (on-line). Neither fax nor e-mail submission will be accepted. - Some abstracts that are not selected for oral presentation will be considered for poster presentations. Poster presentation allows presenters to discuss their researches with other colleagues at the site of display. - An acknowledgement of receipt of abstract will be automatically sent to the corresponding author by e-mail upon on-line submission. - The corresponding author will be notified regarding the status of submission in November, 2007. - Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors are expected to register and to present their abstracts at oral/poster/video presentations. Presenting authors must be officially registered with full payment by January 20, 2008. - Accepted abstracts will appear in the abstract book to be distributed at the registration desk of the congress. - More detailed instructions will be available in this website later. Format - 250 words or less - not including the title, author's name, institution, city; however, the abstract must fit in the space provided. - No figures or tables should be included in the abstract. - The presenting author and 9 co-authors will be listed in the abstract headline. The maximum number of authors should be up to 10. - The body of the structured abstract should be organized as follows: Purpose; Methods; Results and Conclusion. Authors for accepted abstracts will have a chance to submit a full paper to be published after the Congress. The Award Ceremony will be held during the Banquet on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. 15th WCB / 15th WCBE provides financial support (JPY 100,000) for selected young scientists to attend the congress. Young Investigators’ Award: 1. Candidates must be 40 years of age or younger at the time of the 15th WCB / 15th WCBE (March 30, 2008). 2. The work must not have been presented or published before the 15th WCB / 15th WCBE. 3. Abstracts must be submitted no later than November 4 for Oral / Video presentation and December 14 for Poster. Award winners will be selected by the Organizing Committee on the basis of the scientific content of the abstract and the presentation.
